What causes acne?

There are hundreds of theories about food and cystic acne causes.

I am not talking about allergies. I was tested myself for them. Tested included 400 products, but doctors and nutritionist could not relate test results with my experiences. However, after 10 years of battle, I knew that if I eat certain products- next day my mirror will make me regret and cry for what I did.

Start with  5 major acne triggers free diet!

Very simple and effective.

Acne and Cystic acne causes are obvious – they are in your kitchen.

1. Dairy. Dairy is especially bad for cystic acne and if you have cystic acne on your chin, I can guarantee it does contribute to your outbreaks. If my experience is not enough for you, three large-scale studies reported in the American Journal of Dermatology found a link between milk and acne. Natural News also wrote about a research that found those who drank two or three glasses of milk had 44% higher chance of developing severe acne. Convinced? Sorry darling, no ice cream or latte today! Remember, its not about lactose, it’s about all dairy products. Ditch them. Now. I will not say try goat or sheep milk too, because many fail this test too.

Celebrity and models secret: before the show at least a month they strictly delete/ avoid any dairy products/ingredients from their menu!!! 

Solution
Use coconut milk when cooking instead of milk. Its Jummy.
For your cereal use almond milk or hemp milk, OR HAZELNUT MILK. It  yummy taste!

2. Gluten. Gluten can be found in found in wheat, rye, barley, and some oats and other types of grains. Again you don’t have to be allergic or have a coeliac symptoms. Gluten is simply not good for you. As It affects your thyroid and all metabolism. It is highly inflammatory and linked to numerous health problems, including acne. Gluten free society site shows you gluten causes deficiency in selenium, magnesium, vitamin A, protein, vitamin D, iodine. All of these nutritients are crucial for healthy metabolism.

Solution
You need to go on a gluten free diet today. Replace gluten with rice, quinoa or amaranth.

3. Saturated fat.

There are good and bad fats for your skin. Fried food is not good cystic acne, its no news for all of us. Then why do you keep frying everything?
Solution.
Avoid soybean, corn, peanut, sunflower and sesame oils. Soybean oil is the special trigger. It increases estrogen and is terribly toxic. Do not fry your food.
If you need oil use only:

Cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil.
Cold pressed Flaxseed oil for your salad. In that way you will not only remove cystic acne causes, but will help fight inflammation.
Virgin coconut oil.
Virgin red palm oil.

4. Nightshades. Nightshades is a family of vegetables: potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers, cayenne, chilli, pimentos, pepinos, eggplants, also tabacco.

They are high in alkaloids- natural food toxin, which causes inflammation. Even though they are rarely mentioned as cystic acne causes, in the holistic system you have to avoid all possible triggers.
If you want to fight inflammation in your skin, avoid them.
Especially if you also have knee pain, joints pain, after you go on nightshades free family you might feel the difference.
Solution
Avoid all nightshades family, at least in the beginning of treatment. It will contribute to much quicker recovery. When you avoid nightshades, be careful with sauces, like Tabasco.

Sweet potato is not in nightshade family – enjoy it as it is very nutritious!

5. Caffeine.

Caffeine causes stress and hormones react, that’s how it leads to cystic acne.

We understand its very very hard to miss COSTA, STARBUCKS….However, here we have to be realistic in our fight for beautiful skin!

Major sources of caffeine.

Coffee.
Energy drinks. Leave those Redbulls alone, you don’t need them. They are not only bad for your heart, but also gives you acne. Eat healthy diet, fight inflammation in your organism with Inflagestion advice, and you will have high energy levels.
Black tea and Green tea. We know green tea, has so many benefits. But here we are talking about the caffeine which naturally occurs in the green tea and causes your cystic pimples.  Instead I go for mint, redbush (rooibos) or chamomile tea.

Chocolate. This is hard. I know. Chocolate especially milky one has been my addiction, even after I noticed its very quick job done on my face….milk chocolate has double effect on cystic acne as it is packed with dairy and caffeine. Avoid both – black and milk one.
Some weight loss pills. They are packed with caffeine. Check ingredients if you take them.
Pain relievers. A lot of painkillers have caffeine to make it work faster. Be careful with them and do not exceed stated dose. I guess, if you have migraine, after you go dairy-free, gluten-free, citrus-free and nightshades free, you will be likely see the difference in your overall health.

Solution. Be smart, avoid caffeine as much as you can. It is easy now, when you know surprising sources as well.

These are the 5 triggers and it should be the major start of your cystic acne free life.

Print it, and next time your go to the shop, use the advice.
Do not try to find excuses, like “what am I going to eat? or “it will take so much time to re-plan all of my diet…” Nowadays it is much easier to go on gluten-free and dairy-free diet.
